New casinos often launch with bigger bonuses and modern sites, but they have a shorter track record. These casinos accept players from Chile and opened in the last two years; check the safety data before you deposit.
Can a new online casino be licensed in Chile yet?
Not yet. There is no Chilean online licence, so a new casino launching for Chilean players is not authorised in Chile, whatever it claims. The online betting bill (bolet铆n 14.838-03) passed the Chamber of Deputies, was approved in general by the Senate in August 2025 and received the highest legislative urgency in May 2026, but it had not become law at the time of writing.
Enforcement is moving in the other direction for unlicensed sites. After the Supreme Court ordered blocking in September 2025, Subtel set out a DNS blocking mechanism and in September 2026 ordered six internet providers to block 42 betting URLs within 48 hours. The SCJ estimates that more than 900 online betting sites have been operating in Chile.
Once the law is in force, the SCJ is expected to publish a register of licensed online operators. That register, on scj.gob.cl, will be the place to check any new site. Until it exists, the SCJ's list of authorised land-based casinos is the only official register.
Are new casinos safe for players in Chile?
A new casino has fewer complaints simply because it has had fewer players. Look at the licence, the owner and whether the owner runs other casinos with a good record. Start with a small deposit and test a withdrawal early.
Chile has no licence for online casinos yet, so no online casino is authorised to serve Chilean residents, and the courts have ordered unauthorised betting platforms to be blocked while a licensing bill is debated in Congress.
